Yankees captain Aaron Judge shares his thoughts as Clarke Schmidt survives umpire’s scrutiny

The Yankees beat the Cincinnati Reds in a convincing 6-2 win. But the game had its controversies for the Bronx Bombers. After pitching 4 scoreless innings, Schmidt was subjected to an umpire’s check. Although there were no problems with his pitching hand, there seemed to be a problem with his gloved hand. The four umpires allowed Schmidt to wash his hands in the clubhouse and continue to pitch. After the game, Aaron Judge shared his honest opinions on the incident. YES Network shared a video of Judge’s conversation on Twitter.

During the interview, Judge said, “You know, I think everything, I think the same thing that’s going through everything else’s mind. You know, uh, just wondering what’s going to happen in that situation, and yeah. I really don’t know what really transpired, but he came back on the mound and kept pitching. You know, I haven’t really dove into exactly what happened or what transpired or what was said, so he was still out there pitching. That’s all I was focused on.”
