The Yankees were beaten by the Orioles in the second game of their crucial 3-game series. With a 9-6 victory, the Baltimore-based team evened things up before the final game. But they also embarrassed the Bombers on Twitter. The Yankees had posted lyrics from Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” while leading the game. After a miraculous comeback, the Orioles savagely replied by continuing the lyrics from the song. Jomboy Media highlighted this exchange on Twitter.

The Yankees said, “’Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play”, and the Orioles replied, “And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate”. This was a truly savage social media move as the Baltimore-based team took home the win.

The Bombers are battling it out to climb the AL East and in recent weeks have dominated the opposition. But this result will be a slap in the face and a wake-up call, as there are many games left to play. It will be interesting to see whether the Yankees can close this series with a win. They won the first game behind a clutch Aaron Judge performance and lost the second on an epic pitching collapse.

The Yankees will be looking to end the series with a win

Despite this loss, the Yankees still have a chance to win the series. They will look to win the third and final game before hosting the San Diego Padres. It will help them keep the momentum going and get over the bad result. Furthermore, the Bombers would be able to further close the gap on their AL East rivals.
