This catcher benefited from one of the most bizarre plays in college baseball

Baseball is a game of chance and happenstance. Not everything goes according to plan or as you expect it to. Most recently, a college game proved to be the perfect example of such a situation. Mississippi Delta Community College pitcher GW Pigott threw a wild pitch that went over the opposing batter’s head. The batter ducked, expecting the pitch to go for a ball, but that did not happen. Instead, the pitch went over his head and connected with his bat before looping upwards. Catcher Mason Morgan showed quick reflexes and dove forward, catching the pitch for an out.

Barstool Sports shared the video of this bizarre sequence on Twitter.
