It has been over two weeks since baseball came back into action. However, things were not going in favor of the New York Yankees, as until today, as they are yet to show their potential in the ongoing Spring Training games. The Yanks were having a winless streak going on, causing anger among fans.

However, a ray of hope came and changed things in the team’s favor. In a recent Spring Training game against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Bronx Bombers not only won, but they dominated the Jays throughout the game. The win hadn’t come easily, and to the fans’ dismay, this game wasn’t televised when the Yanks won. Therefore, the fanbase had a hard time believing when the team’s official Twitter handle let its fans know about the team’s win and of five home runs in the game.

Last season, if it wasn’t for Aaron Judge, the Yanks probably would not have won the AL East. After the All-Star game last year, the team’s play dropped significantly. Thus, the fanbase has high expectations from the team this year.

Even though spring training is about getting the practice and groove in for the regular season, watching the team not being able to play at their full potential hurts the fans. Thus, when they learned about the pinstripes’ recent win, they had a hard time believing. And they probably weren’t wrong. 

Following are some of the fans’ reactions toward the New York Yankees breaking their winless streak. 

Most fans were asking for proof before believing that the team won against the Jays. Whereas a couple of them believed but warned the team to ensure the game gets televised. Meanwhile, there is one who thinks that the team won only because the game wasn’t televised. Hence, asking the management never to televise a game again. 

Yankees fans want some new faces on the roster!

The start of the regular season is just two weeks away, and the fans have already put up their expectations from the team. Watching the performance of a few minor league players, the fanbase is consistent in wanting them on the opening-day roster. Two new faces that the fans want to be on the team are Anthony Volpe and Jasson Dominguez.

Now, whether the management will accept the demands is unclear. But it would indeed be good to have some new faces.
