Alex Rodriguez is one of the greatest players that has ever stepped into a ballpark. The former Yankee star would entertain fans with his fantastic fielding and powerful slugging. Furthermore, he picked up numerous accolades for his achievements over the years. Many consider him one of the greatest Yankees of all time.

But a recent Twitter post brought up a debate that has left fans divided and unsure. The debate has forced fans to choose between A-Rod and other Yankee legends. Most chose the former Yankee third baseman and one other legendary name. 

Fans had difficulty choosing between Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez

A Twitter account called Fireside Yankees recently shared a question on Twitter that has divided fans. They asked fans which Yankee legend they would bring back to fill a need today. Furthermore, they had to choose between Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Bernie Williams, and Hideki Matsui. 

In the Tweet, Fireside Yankees asked, “If you could bring back one of these Yankees to fill a need, which would you choose?” This is a question that would leave any Yankee fan split on which legend to choose.

The question caused a divide among fans, with many choosing A-ROd or Jeter. They picked Rodriguez for his pure statistical numbers and Jeter for his character and consistent play.

Although fans were divided between Jeter and A-Rod, they seemed to be slightly in Rodriguez’s favor. But both players contributed heavily to the game and were legendary figures in the sport. In fact, they once achieved a special moment together.

Alex Rodriguez and Derek Jeter created a special moment together when the Yankees won the 2009 World Series. Up till that point, Rodriguez had not won a championship yet. The 2009 World Series win cemented A-Rod’s legacy as an all-time great. Furthermore, A-Rod was a key contributor during the series and came up with some clutch hits.
