The player proves there’s nothing called an offseason for him. With stunning stats from March to September, the heroics continue in November after an early October exit.

Thursday was a special night for the Braves star hitter. While his MLB performance earned him a unanimous MVP honor, the 25-year-old player hit a home run the same night. The current league performance of the player illustrates his passion for the sport. In his last 10 at-bats, he slashed .500/.1.100/1.600.

This MLB season, he invented a new MLB club of 40-70. Acuña is the first player to have 40 home runs and 70 stolen bases. To be more precise, he has 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases. In his 735 plate appearances, he had 149 runs, 217 hits, a .416 on-base percentage, and a league-best OPS of 1.012.

He started his Spring Training in February, ultimately defeating solid opponents like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Even in the winter, when most other players prefer free time to relax, Acuña hits winter balls in his home country.

With his massive victory, the Braves slugger has inked his name into history for another reason.

The BBWAA has been voting for MVPs since 1931, and multiple players have won multiple titles. But what’s different this season is that both MVP contenders have won the award without opposition. Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuña Jr., for the first time in MLB history, are unanimous AL and NL MVP winners.

About his win on Thursday, the player stated, “From the day I got to the league right away I always knew I wanted to be the MVP. It’s always been a dream of mine and I’m living the dream come true.”
