

In his rookie season itself, Derek Jeter teamed up with his father, Dr. Sanderson Charles Jeter, a substance abuse counselor to create the Turn2Foundation, to primarily help children turn away from drugs and alcohol. From then, until today, the five-time World Champions Foundation has raised millions through various charity events, and most recently, the foundation announced the Derek Jeter Invitational, which would take place from May 11 to May 13.
The lineup for the event was already filled with superstars, and the former Yankees captain recently reached his Instagram stories announcing the addition of five more stars to increase the star power in the event.

Derek Jeter adds even more star power to the Turn2Foundation lineup
For the second year in a row, the event is set to take place at the Baha Mar resort. Along with a few sporting superstars like Rob Gronkowski, Jorge Posada, CC Sabathia, Tino Martinez and Natalie Gulbis, a few stars from the entertainment industry will be present too. These will include Kevin Connolly, Kevin Dillon, and Jerry Ferrara, among others.

In a recent series of stories, the Turn2Foundation announced the addition of five more superstars to add heavyweight to the event.
Derek Jeter re-shared these stories that announced five-time MLB All-Star Andruw Jones, New York Knicks star Charles Oakley, another NBA star Chandler Parsons, two-time Super Bowl Champion Booger McFarland, and 2001 MLB All-Star, Cliff Floyd.

Who runs Jeter’s Turn2Foundation?
Today, the President of Turn2Foundation, Derek Jeter’s sister, Sharlee Jeter, is almost entirely responsible for carrying it to such great heights today. Recently, Sharlee also spoke about the kids who are part of the foundation, and who only want to make everyone proud on the Fostering Change Podcast.
In addition to that, Derek’s father, Dr. Sanderson Charles Jeter, is the vice chairman of the foundation, while his mother, Dorothy, is the treasurer. Finally, his wife Hannah is also a member of the foundation’s board.
