Derek Jeter and his wife Hannah Jeter have been together for more than a decade, having started dating in 2012. During those 11 years together, Hannah supported her beau from the shadows, with the couple keeping their relationship private. Hannah was with Derek through the last couple of years of his career, even attending a few games. But the legendary New York Yankees shortstop once revealed an unknown fact about his career involving his wife.

Derek Jeter revealed that his wife doesn’t enjoy watching his career highlights

Derek Jeter has always been largely private about his personal life. But in his documentary series ‘The Captain’, Jeter has opened up on a number of different aspects of his life. In the documentary’s 6th episode, he revealed that his wife Hannah Jeter doesn’t like watching highlights of his career. To some, this may come as a surprise, as Hannah was present for the last couple of years of his career.  

During the 6th episode of ‘The Captain, the legendary shortstop said, “Hannah doesn’t like watching the highlights of my career, did she share that with you guys too?” Hannah and Derek started dating in 2012 and were together for the last years of his career. These were extremely difficult years for them due to the New York Yankees legend’s packed schedule and icon status.

It was difficult for them to go out and do anything that regular couples would do. But they made things work and have been together for 11 years now. Furthermore, Jeter retired in 2014, calling an end to his glorious career.

Jeter has focused on his family since retiring

Derek Jeter retired in 2014 and has focused on his family ever since. He married Hannah Jeter in 2016 and has had three daughters with the model and TV host. The legendary Yankees’ shortstop is enjoying fatherhood. He even said that he’d pass on his own father’s lessons to his children.
