Jeter kicked off his Derek Jeter invitational event with a classy move, taking the first swing at the golf tournament. The guest list is filled with acting talent, athletes, and celebrities. But his most recent message was addressed to his fans at home.

Derek Jeter has kicked off his celebrity golf tournament after weeks of hype, with top performers set to make it an entertaining event. Most recently, he shared a special message with his 513,000 Instagram followers. In an Instagram Story, Jeter announced the start of the Derek Jeter Invitational and welcomed his fans to tune in for all the updates. His Turn 2 Foundation has been sharing moments from different parts of the event as well. 

In the Story, Jeter said, “What’s up? This is Derek. Welcome to my Celebrity Invitational here at the Baha Mar Resort in the Bahamas. Looking forward to it, make sure you follow us along all weekend.” This is a truly massive event, with some top athletes, celebrities, and media personalities attending and participating.

This is the second year of the Baha Mar event, with last year’s edition being a resounding success.
