The world was ready for the New York Yankees to make it to the World Series. After all, they have had a long drought since 2009, and it was high time they shine. This time, they finally are there, and with a bullpen full of stars like Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and more. And it seems like the Yankees are headed not just to the World Series but also into the world of fine art!

Their five-time series champion Derek Jeter recently made an appearance at the Taglialatella Galleries in NYC last week. There, he signed pieces of art done by Russell Young. The artist is known for his stellar portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Mich Jagger, and now, Jeter. The collection is beautiful, and it features the iconic moments of the shortstop. It is a collaboration between the gallery and Major League Baseball.

Want dinner with Derek Jeter? His new art collection can help!

Gallery partner Brain Swarts said, “Jeter wanted to have an artist do a collection of paintings. He likes art and wanted images that were important to him in his career.” He further said that there had to be plenty of artists, and finally it landed on Russell because Derek Jeter loved his style and thought his artwork was ‘cool’—and well, Jeter wasn’t wrong!

The collection has come out to be stunning, featuring original and screen prints. It includes pieces like ‘The Swing,’ which features Jeter hitting the home run against the New York Mets during the 2000 World Series. There is another standout piece, ‘The Jump,’ which captures Derek Jeter’s iconic play at shortstop. Moreover, the pieces are covered in diamond dust, giving them a glittering aspect—making them more special is, of course, Jeter’s signature on the originals.

The artwork is prized between $40,000 and $60,000 for a diptych of both. And anyone who purchases them as an added perk will get to enjoy a private dinner with Derek Jeter himself in Miami during Art Basel. However, if any fans are unable to attend the Art Basel, the collection will also be on display at Art Miami. Part of the proceeds from selling these will go to Jeter’s Turn 2 foundation.

Yankees fans, brace yourself for sky-high World Series ticket prices!

If you thought that the painting cost an arm and a leg, think again. Because the ticket prices for the New York Yankees’s much-awaited World Series cost a bomb. While the Yankees’ fans want to watch the game in person at the Bronx stadium, the secondary market might make the dream impossible for many.

After a 15-year absence from the World Series, it’s a big deal now, and hence the demand for the ticker has skyrocketed. Those who waited to buy tickets after the Mets lost, hoping the prices would drop, are in hard luck. According to Seat Geek, the most affordable option starts at $1,590, and that’s for a standing-room-only ticket. If you want to grab a seat, the prices are upwards of $1,703. Prepare to shell more to avoid standing!

But if you want to save some coins, you might even travel to LA. Dodgers stadium. Because while it is not much cheaper, it starts at $1,100, still saving a bit. And if both options are a pocket pinch, the local Bronx bars would work fine. The right prizes truly reflect the intensity of the rivalry and the sheer thrill of the series. It’s what Derek Jeter best described as ‘a dream series’.
