When Derek Jeter walked his last steps in the Bronx in 2014, he left behind a legacy to reminisce. However, it wasn’t the 3,000 hits, or five world championship rings that defined Derek Jeter’s career in the Bronx. But Jeter’s love and loyalty for the Yankees wasn’t something that was born when the Yanks picked him in the 1992 MLB draft. It was born long before that.
