Most recently, a pitcher of Stanford University’s baseball team’s ace, Quinn Mathews, gave a stellar performance in the Super Regionals.?

Not only did the pitcher of Stanford baseball achieve an amazing feat individually, but he also saved his team from getting eliminated. Even so, the performance by Mathews is getting seen as potentially harmful in a way.?

In the game against Texas, Quinn threw a total of 156 pitches and had 16 strikeouts, both of which are his career highs. The ace’s efforts bore fruits as his team won against Texas Baseball by a great margin of 8-3.?

The athlete himself is pretty happy about his performance in the game. Hence, after the game, being mic’d up, Quinn about the last few innings said,?“I told him (manager) I was good to go (play in the last couple of innings). It wasn’t like that they were gonna try and take the rock out of my hand. I mean I gave up a hit, that made it a little more interesting, but I mean did the job, team got the win, but we’re not done yet. So we gotta get right for tomorrow.”??

The ace is happy about his performance and that he helped his team win. But at the same time, he is not getting over in his head since he knows some major games are still ahead of the team.?

Stanford’s star has fans concerned for them!
The feat achieved by Quinn is indeed commendable. However, while looking from a different point of view, the athlete could have gotten injured, and then the team would have lost an essential player like him. Although he did amazingly well on the mound, fans being concerned about the same are also right.?
