Volpe turned heads when he arrived at the Willow Gala with his apparent girlfriend, Elle Jowett, last month. While netizens have been dissecting their relationship and obsessing over Jowett’s wellness routines, workouts, and lifestyle tips, they’ve now stumbled upon something bizarre that calls for solid proof.

Apparently, some statements she made earlier in December 2023 have resurfaced. In a TikTok interview by online personality Suleyman Dolaev, Jowett was asked which nationality she wouldn’t date.

To that, she replied, “Italian.” Explaining her answer, Jowett shared, “I dated an Italian guy for a year, and he was still talking to other girls.” 

However, this clip is now being resurfaced, and an X user accused Anthony Volpe of cheating on Elle Jowett. The user and many netizens have falsely linked her 2023 street interview to the ongoing cheating rumors and allegations surrounding the Yankees’ shortstop.

Apparently, Volpe’s Italian heritage fits the stereotype.

To clear the air, the cheating rumors about Anthony Volpe are false.

They weren’t even dating when that 2023 TikTok interview was filmed. The clip was later misinterpreted and tied to Volpe because of his Italian roots, but fans and reporters quickly confirmed it predated their relationship, putting the rumor to rest.

Reportedly, Anthony Volpe and Elle Jowett began following each other on Instagram around June 2025. After spending most of her life in Maine, Jowett moved to New York City in late 2023, the same year her TikTok interview was filmed.

Their first confirmed public appearance came on September 8, 2025, at the Carlos Rodón Foundation’s Willow Gala, where they walked the red carpet together in Manhattan. Jowett’s 2023 TikTok predates any known connection to Volpe, confirming that their relationship became public only in September 2025, with subtle social media hints a few months earlier.

Her ties to the Yankees have formed only recently, contrary to claims dating them back to 2023. In fact, Carlos Rodon’s wife, Ashley, is also among Elle Jowett’s TikTok followers. Even Chase Carter—wife of Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger—has commented on Jowett’s Instagram post. 

Yankees fans were convinced about Volpe and Jowett’s relationship after she posted a picture from Yankee Stadium during the American League Wild Card Series. After the Yankees’ Game 3 win against the Red Sox, Jowett posted a photo on Instagram from the stands with the caption “wooooohoooo.”

She’s 20 years old, four years younger than Anthony Volpe, but since moving to New York City, she has made some good connections in the fashion world. Her LinkedIn page says that she has been a student at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

It’s a school in New York’s public state university system, located in Manhattan in 2023. For the record, it coincides with when she said she moved to New York City in that TikTok video.

She is still an undergrad at the school. Assuming that she will finish her degree there, she is part of the FIT class of 2027.
