Tommy Edman and the Dodgers have agreed to a five-year, $74 million contract extension that will keep the NLCS MVP with the team through at least 2029. The Dodgers made the exciting announcement Friday, locking up one of the most versatile and electrifying players in the game today. Edman’s impact since joining the Dodgers at the 2024 trade deadline has been undeniable.

The switch-hitting dynamo showcased his versatility by filling in at both center field and shortstop. His postseason was particularly remarkable, as he drove in 11 runs in the National League Championship Series. The terms of the new contract include a $17 million signing bonus. A sixth-year club option is also available for $13 million with a $3 million buyout. That gives the Dodgers flexibility beyond 2029.

With this new deal, it’s clear he’s just getting started in LA.
