Aaron Judge and Derek Jeter’s high school uniforms take fans down memory lane

High School is a formative period of development for baseball players, with some foregoing college entirely. Aaron Judge and Derek Jeter both played multiple sports during their careers at Linden High School and Kalamazoo Central High School, respectively. Most recently, Twitter user Mike Carbone shared a picture of the two Yankees captain’s High School jerseys side-by-side in a store. This has got fans excited with the blast from the past.

In a Tweet, Carbone said, “This store is so cool. Never seen Judge or Jeter high school jerseys”. Jeter’s jersey has the number 13 on the back, which he wore in high school. But Judge’s jersey has the number 99, his Yankees number, instead of his actual high school number, which was 19.

Jeter returns to baseball while Judge continues his prolonged absence from it

Derek Jeter returned to baseball in a new role with his recent broadcasting debut. He joined the likes of Alex Rodriguez and David Ortiz for the MLB London Series. Although fans were excited to see the three legends together, an iconic sports commentator was not impressed. Aaron Judge, on the other hand, continues to work his way back from a toe injury. The Yankees’ current captain tore a ligament in his right big toe while making a defensive play earlier this month. Although positive updates continue to come through, a return date has still not been specified.
