Alex Rodriguez’s little bird flew the nest, and he is having a tough time processing. Natasha Rodriguez, who went to the University of Michigan to pursue musical theater, has left her dad missing her to the core. As someone who has always prioritized his daughters, Alex has found his way to cope with the inevitable separation.

A-Rod and his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis cordially co-parent two beautiful daughters, but the former is right now in a strange phase. He is dealing with a kind of absence in his life that is rather foreign to him. As a doting father, Alex has taken steps to reach out to his freshman-year daughter in a way that might be a bit too much.

Texting Is The New Coping Mechanism

As someone who cannot be apart from his priorities, his daughters, Natasha’s college journey left a vacuum in A-Rod’s life. Rodriguez, 48, in an exclusive interview with the Us Weekly emotionally said, “It’s hard. For the first time in 18 years, I don’t have my two girls with me at dinner”. According to his ex-wife Cynthia, the father has taken to texting “too much” as he misses his college-aged child.

While promoting his partnership with OraPharma at US, he articulated that it was unbelievable that he has such a grown-up kid. Now that he realizes that kids grow up faster than one expects, he cherishes every moment with his second daughter. 

Bearing gratitude, he said, “The good news is I get to spend more time with [my 15-year-old], Ella. I guess there’s a silver lining everywhere.”

As emotional as he is seeing his girls grow up fast, he is proud of what they have become. He also gave his opinion on co-parenting with his ex-wife. What he said is truly an eye-opener. 

Alex Rodriguez Succeeded In Coparenting Though Not Easily

Alex Rodriguez and Cynthia Scrutis’ rocky road marriage lasted 6 years. Despite that, they are proud of how their relationship as parents remained unaffected in their kids’ lives. So much so that the retired MLB athlete is ‘proud’ of his relationship with Scrutis. 

He does not shy away from admitting that his greatest achievement is his partnership with his ex-wife in raising two daughters. Natasha’s new life at the University of Michigan is proof of that.
