Opening up the postseason progress, the Yankees took on the Cleveland Guardians. The Yankees then defeated the Guardians in the series decider, winning the series by a 3-2 margin to proceed. Having entered the American League Championship Series, the Yankees faced off against the Houston Astros. From there onwards, the Yankees’ journey took a wrong turn.?

The Yankees have remained a prime contender to win the World Series this year. But that was until they faced yet another prime contender in the Astros. Interestingly, the Astros played in their sixth consecutive ALCS this year, and maintained their dominance. The Yankees dreamt of fighting back as they did against the Guardians, but the Astros proved a much stronger challenge.?

So, after losing the first three games of the seven-game series to the Astros, the Yankees faced elimination. Therefore, the Yankees fans lost hope in their team and the interest fell apart. As a result, the Yankees administration followed up by slashing ticket prices from $211 to $20 for Sunday’s game.?
