The much-awaited and highly anticipated Major League Baseball Field of Dreams game is returning for its second season at the Dyersville, Iowa, this Thursday at 6 pm E.T.

What has now caused concern is that the Field of Dreams game might not return for a third edition in 2023. If anything is creating a disturbance in the game, they don’t want to come back.?

But, this does not mean that it will not be returning in the next year as well.?

Is Field of Dreams 2023 canceled?

The MLB Field of Dreams 2021 was a huge success and has broken records of viewership on every channel as well. Now, the game is returning for its second edition. And it will be even harder to top the last year’s game.?

However, there are plans in motion to put up youth baseball and softball complexes in the stadium. And the construction is set to begin this year.?

According to Baseball Hall of Famer Frank Thomas, part of the complex’s ownership group,?“It’s a lot going on. They don’t want to come back if the stadium’s not prepared.”?

It is still not official that fans will have to wait for two years for another game at the beautiful site. But the chances of it happening are pretty high.?

What is happening in this year’s game?

The last year’s game was played between the Chicago White Sox and the New York Yankees. White Sox beat the New Yorkers to become the winner of the first Field of Dreams game.?

This year, the game is going to be played between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds. Considering that both the teams are near the bottom of the National League, this year’s star is going to be the Ball Park.

Nevertheless, both teams are paying tribute by wearing throwback jerseys of the early 1900s. Furthermore, Joey Votto and Ian Happ will be mic’d up during the game.?

In addition to this, each team will have a throwback logo carved into the corn, and it will be just beyond the right-field wall.
