From 2017 to 2021, ever since Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez started dating, the couple won hearts all around the world. And this wasn’t limited to their celebrity status only. While the couple actively bridged the Hollywood and MLB realms, it was their adorable public appearances that showcased how wholesome their relationship was.

Back in 2018, during a reality tv appearance with popular host Ellen DeGeneres, A-Rod faced a sudden intervention through when Ellen asked him a question about a missed FaceTime call from earlier.

Ellen talks about the time she visited J.Lo in Las Vegas and called A-Rod via FaceTime. However, A-Rod didn’t answer, and Ellen confronted him about it. A-Rod defended himself by saying, “Oh no, I didn’t realize that. I must have been with the girls or at the gym.” An incessant Ellen continues pestering the Yankee and asks him whether he actively ignored her call.

Alex Rodriguez wittily responds by talking about the consequences of him not taking J.Lo’s call. He says, “If she calls me and I don’t pickup, oh, forget it, forget it.” He indicates that he has to answer his girlfriend’s call at all times, and says, “I’ve been in like board meetings and she— time out, board.”

A-Rod and Ellen then move to FaceTime Jennifer Lopez, who answers and engages in a lighthearted and warm conversation.

Before hopping onto a streak of flings and celebrity relationships, A-Rod was married to psychology graduate Cynthia Scurtis. However, the marriage didn’t hold its ground for too long, and six years after their marriage, in 2008, Cynthia filed for divorce, citing emotional abandonment of her children and herself.

At the same, rumors about A-Rod’s supposed infidelity and extra-marital affairs with popstar Madonna reached the media. Moreover, the couple is also the parents of two daughters, Natasha and Ella.

Since their separation, A-Rod has dated multiple celebrities like Kate Hudson, Torrie Wilson, Madonna, Cameron Diaz, and most popularly, Jennifer Lopez.
