Because, being one of the strongest teams, they are giving free points to small teams like the Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds.

In the last two games against the Orioles and Reds, the Red Sox have scored just one run from the plate. It is more than enough, to sum up, their current form. First, they lost a five-game series against the Orioles, and now the Red Sox are on the verge of losing the two-game series against the Cincinnati Reds.

Boston Red Sox fans rage after the “embarrassing” loss

Right from the start of the regular season, the Boston Red Sox have been struggling to win games. Their season began with a series loss against the New York Yankees. And now, they are losing against the Orioles and Reds.

Forget the Orioles’ series, the recent defeat against the Reds will haunt them for days. Because the Cincinnati Reds are the team with the worst record in the 2022 season. What is more horrifying is that the Reds have defeated the Red Sox for the first time in 45 years in Fenway Park.

Taking to Twitter, the Red Sox fans criticized the shocking defeat. One fan asked the Red Sox to wake up. Because losing to the worst teams in back-to-back days makes little sense, while another fan referred to this defeat as “embarrassing.”

Another fan took a dig at the Red Sox, as they termed the game a battle between the losers. The Red Sox has been receiving unstoppable criticism for their current situation.

Even if the Red Sox recover in the coming games, the Yankees will be far ahead of them. So it will be more than difficult for them to catch the Yankees and make it to the playoffs.
