This current year probably can’t get more terrible for the Angels. While they are already long away from the playoffs, their star players, including Ohtani and Trout, are on the injured list. When the Japanese Pitcher’s season officially ends, the 3xMVP is still trying to return. However, things reached another height when the team invited him with his rival for the farewell ceremony.

Los Angeles Angels giving a unique farewell to Detroit Tigers’ legend

Miguel Cabrera has reached the end of his career. Fans won’t see him again smashing after this season. As the season is getting to an end, teams and renowned entities have been preparing presents to honor the legend and acknowledge his achievements. The Angels also took the initiative to make the last game of the series memorable. They arranged a farewell ceremony before Saturday’s game began. While the present attracted attention, the hosts drew more attention. Miggy is renowned for his love for surfing, so his getting a Surfboard is not a shock. The shocking part comes when Mike Trout and Albert Pujols are seen together giving him the memento.

Albert Pujols and Mike Trout were teammates for a long time, but when the latter was compared to the first, he reacted harshly. He during an interview, commented, “Can you imagine someone saying that to me? I felt like saying, ‘Come on, are you serious? Are you really asking me that? Check out my numbers. I know what Mike Trout has done in his first two years is pretty special, but will you look at my numbers. I’ve been doing this for almost 14 years.”

Though Trout has 11x All-Star and 3xMVP, just like Pujols, the retired legend didn’t acknowledge him as a successor. But surprisingly, after this severe clash, the team brought them together where they were even spotted posing for a photo smiling and holding each other’s shoulder.
