Ever since returning PEDs suspension, Fernando Tatis Jr. has been in top form in the ballparks. When the Padres slugger made his comeback this season, he answered a lot of questions regarding his current form by expressing himself through his bat. But it is not just his bat that is helping him grab headlines.

Most recently, Tatis Jr. has won hearts by making an adorable gesture for his young fans in the ballpark. It was only moments before Fernando took the ballpark by storm by scoring a run for his team in the second game of the 3 game series against the Kansas City Royals. The Royals might have won the game and tied the series. But it was Tatis Jr. who ultimately stole the show off the field.

What did Fernando Tatis Jr. do that has him winning the hearts of fans?

A nonprofit foundation, Make a Wish, helps kids suffering from critical illnesses have a great time by making them smile in an unwanted and difficult situation. Two kids, Fritz and Owen from San Diego, wished to spend some time with the Padres slugger. Notably, without a moment of hesitation, Tatis agreed and fulfilled the wishes of the young boys, all dressed up in Padres’ gear.

Tatis Jr. spent time with the kids, did everything he could to make them smile, hugged them, signed autographs, clicked pictures with them, and ended up giving them a great memory. 

Moments after the Padres’ Instagram handle posted the pictures of Tatis Jr. spending time with the kids, fans started pouring love for the Padres’ athlete.

Doing what Tatis did for those kids is indeed an endearing gesture. Hence, Padres fans on Instagram are praising the athlete for bringing a smile to the faces who needed it the most. 

Hence, they wrote, “Good guy Tatis doing good guy stuff. It’s more than just ball.
