Birthdays are an important day for anybody. This includes MLB stars as well with a lot of them celebrating extravagantly. One MLB star recently celebrated his 24th birthday and it got the attention of fans. The star is none other than San Diego Padres Fernando Tatis Jr.. He was one of the best young stars in the League until August last year. The MLB  banned the one-time All-Star for 80 games after testing positive for PEDs. Following this incident, fans have questioned the All-Star’s commitment and determination to win.

This even led to Tatis Jr. being left out of a list of the Padre’s star players. Furthermore, the one-time All-star was even berated on his very special day. Fans threw jibes at the Padres star as a video of his birthday celebrations made its way to social media.

Fernando Tatis Jr. recently celebrated his 24th birthday and the Padres star seemed to be in high spirits. Talkin’ Baseball shared a video of him celebrating on Twitter and he was having a good time with his loved ones. Talkin’ Baseball shared the video and said “Tatis enjoying his 24th birthday party”.

The young star was dancing as the people around cheered him on and he even took a big bite out of his cake. When he took the bite, his friends and family cheered even louder.

Fans have reacted to the celebration and it has mostly been negative. Some said that he was being too carefree while others brought up his PED suspension. The fans are generally unhappy with Tatis Jr. and even suggested that there might be some suspect ingredients in the cake.

This is a clear indication that fans have not gotten over the fact that Tatis Jr. used PEDs. It will be very interesting to see how fans react when the Padres star starts playing again. He missed 60 games last season including the postseason and will miss a further 20 games this year before he plays again. 

What PED did Tatis Jr test positive for?

According to ESPN, Fernando Tatis Jr. tested positive for Clostebol, a substance banned by the League. Tatis Jr. was suspended 80 games for testing positive. He missed the last 48 regular season games of 2022 and the 12 postseason games that the Padres played. This leaves him with just 20 games of the ban to serve this season.

Furthermore, the Padres star claimed that the positive test was caused by a medication he had used to treat ringworm. Many are skeptical about those claims even today.
