A former pitcher who had brief stints with numerous MLB teams.

Despite being released from the Major League in 2018, Colon refused to let go of his love for the sport, continuing to play even in the minor leagues for the next two years. In 2020, at 47 years young, he signed on with Acereros de Monclova in the Mexican League and has been playing with fervor ever since. And now, even as he approaches 50, the former Yankee has his sights set on continuing his baseball journey.

As Colon approaches the half-century mark, the Yankees legend is refusing to hang up his glove and retire. In fact, he?s doubling down on his passion for the game, as evidenced by a recent video on Twitter. In the few clips, Colon is in what appears to be a garage, perfecting his pitch.

And let?s talk about those pitches, shall we? They?re nothing short of immaculate. Though his velocity may have dipped over the years, his form remains as impressive as ever. Early on, he was known for throwing his four-seam fastball in the mid-90s, with the occasional pitch thrown in now and then.

What?s truly interesting is that Colon has been pitching his whole life, and has not wavered for even a day. Whether he?s 20 or 50, he?s always ready to step up to the mound and that is certainly something! It?s clear that Colon?s journey is far from over, and he is ready to brew up a storm in the upcoming Mexican League!

The veteran pitcher?s baseball journey and his brief stint with the New York Yankees

Colon?s journey began when he was dealt from the Cleveland Indians (Cleveland Guardians) to the Montreal Expos (Washington Nationals), before eventually finding his way to the Chicago White Sox. Later, he signed with Anaheim Angels (Los Angeles Angels) and went on to win a Cy Young award in 2005.

However, the latter half of his career was marked by setbacks and challenges due to injuries – during this time, he was with the New York Yankees. He received surgery and regained his footing on the field. However, he also had a brief suspension for PED use with his next team, the Oakland Athletics.

But the athlete made a comeback and managed to capture the hearts of fans during his time with the New York Mets. He thereafter continued to play for teams like the Atlanta Braves, Minnesota Twins, and Texas Rangers before eventually finding a new home with the Mexican league.
