Detroit Tigers fans have a reason to be optimistic this year. Going into 2022, many fans believed that the team was ready for a postseason push. Instead, everything went wrong, and the Tigers ended up with only 66 wins. But the team is currently on a 3-game winning streak. Furthermore, during their most recent win, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award-winning rapper gave an impromptu performance that probably no Tigers fan expected.

The performance and the song were infectious and gave the crowd some energy. It might have also helped the Tigers close out the series against the Mets with a win. Earlier in the season, the fans were given hope as the team beat the 2022 World Champions in a series. The situation looks better for the Detroit-based team than it did last year.

The Tigers are aiming for the postseason
Following a disappointing 2022 campaign, the Detroit Tigers are looking to make the postseason this year. The Tigers currently own a 13-17 win-loss record and are 3rd in the AL Central. But the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians do not have that much of a lead over them. Although experts predict the Tigers to miss the postseason, if they can stay healthy and win more games, it may be possible. But only time will tell if the team can continue this momentum.
