It was way back in 2011 when an 18-year-old boy with big dreams in his eyes took the first step in his baseball career. He was selected in the 2011 MLB draft, and who could be prouder than his father, who stood with him every step of the way? Luckily, there has been no turning back since then. He started playing for the Indians, participated in the 2012 All-Star Futures Game, and soon became one of the top prospects in the minor leagues. That’s how the remarkable journey of Francisco Lindor began.
After excelling in the minor leagues, he was finally promoted to the Major League in 2015. And in his rookie season only, he made a mark. Hitting at a .313 average, posting 12 home runs, and recording 51 RBIs, everyone learned who Francisco Lindor was. The good form continued the next year, as he even led the Indians to a World Series appearance and earned an All-Star selection as well. Now, after completing so many years in MLB, he has a story to tell.
It’s been a decade since he entered the Major League, and there’s no one happier than his better half, Katie Lindor. Though Lindor knows most important wins might not always be on the scoreboard, Katie made sure to flaunt her husband’s rare MLB Milestone of 10 glorious years. In an Instagram story shared on June 14, Katie gave an emotional tribute to Francisco.

She shared a family picture with their kids and wrote a heartwarming message: “Congrats on 10 years in the show, mi amor!!! We are so proud of you,” tagging her husband.
And why wouldn’t she feel proud? After all, it’s not just about the performances, but also the recognition he earned over all these years in MLB, which makes the achievement more special. Just last year, the Mets’ shortstop had a great outing, averaging .273, posting 33 home runs and 91 RBIs. This year, things are even more splashy.
Lindor is hitting .282, has posted 14 home runs and 38 RBIs, along with an .835 OPS with the New York Mets. A fan favorite at Citi Field, Lindor has four All-Star caps, along with two Silver Slugger and two Golden Glove awards. When you look at him through the years, it’s fair to say that he has achieved a lot in these 10 years of MLB.
Well, all of that happened smoothly, thanks to the immense support from his wife. She always stayed by her side and never shied away from sharing special moments with her husband on her social media handle. That’s what we call a perfect love story, no? In addition to helping Lindor overcome the difficulties, Katia’s steadfast support for her husband made the ten-year journey unforgettable.
