Ever since Freddie Freeman made his debut in Major League Baseball, he had played for the Atlanta Braves. After spending 11 seasons in Georgia’s capital, the first baseman headed back to his Californian roots and joined the Los Angles Dodgers. Still, after spending more than a decade with the Atlanta team, he had made lasting bonds there. In 2022, Freeman played on the same field as the Braves, wearing a different jersey, for the first time. It was an emotional moment that involved a lengthy standing ovation from Atlanta’s crowd.

This year, he did it again, and while it wasn’t as emotional, the standing ovation made a repeat appearance. Five innings later, Freeman hit a three-run homer that led the Dodgers to a victory. Braves fans were clearly unhappy, but Freeman got to share a sweet moment with his family while still on the field.

Freddie Freeman’s cute moment

What started as cheering at Truist Park yesterday turned to boos as the Dodgers took the lead against the Braves. The LA team won 8-6, largely helped by Freddie Freeman’s skyscraping home run. But as Dodgers fans roared in delight, Freeman completed his run right where his family happened to be sitting.

Now, it’s usually hard to differentiate particular people in a crowd but the first baseman knew where his family was sitting. Among them were his wife, Chelsea, as well as their three sons – Freddie Jr., Brandon, and Maximus. And just as he stopped, Freeman looked at them and made a clapping gesture.

Chelsea Freeman was recording it on her phone and then she turned the camera to her left, as if to explain. A family member held one of their twin sons, moving his hands in a mimicry of clapping that was happening all around the stadium. Chelsea posted the clip to her Instagram story with the caption “Free” and a bomb emoji.

Freeman seems to be getting better and better with the LA Dodgers

Ever since the 2023 season started, the Dodgers’ first baseman has been proving why he’s worth the trade. Amid a solid performance this month, Freeman achieved a historic accomplishment – he joined the 300 Hit club. And he did so in style. The 33-year-old became only the second player in league history to hit his 300th ball as a grand slam. The Dodgers have been afflicted by player injuries as of late, and Freeman’s performance certainly doesn’t hurt their chances at wins.
