During the time when Alex Rodriguez was dating ex-fiance, Jennifer Lopez, he recalls being told to get out of the way of the paparazzi. Apparently, he was mistaken as Lopez’s security guard at the time, and the paparazzi were keen on taking Lopez’s pictures.
Alex was pretty humbled by the incident. He has said before that Jennifer is the most talented human being ever, and that they had a good time together.

Alex Rodriguez called it a humbling experience
Lopez and A-Rod had started dating back in 2017, and just after a month of going public with their relationship, the duo appeared in public together at the Met Gala 2017.
Jennifer had worn a powdered blue Valentino gown on the red carpet, whereas Rodriguez had played the perfect boyfriend and clicked pictures of her.
On The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Alex said, “It was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. When I was with the Yankees when we won world championships.., you think you’re pretty cool, but then you hang out with Jennifer, and they confuse me with a security guard all the time.”
In addition to this, he said, “We were at the Met Ball, and the paparazzi was screaming at me, not even in English, ‘Get the hell out of the way, we need to take a picture.'”
After hearing these statements from A-Rod, Jimmy Fallon laughed. He loved hearing from him that being mistaken for Lopez’s bodyguard was humbling for him.
Lopez and Rodriguez were better as friends
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez met in 2005 for the first time. They rekindled their relationship in 2017 and started dating each other soon after. The duo had also gotten engaged in March 2019.
They were supposed to get married in Italy in June 2020. But came the coronavirus, and they had to delay their plans like everybody else. The wedding plans were getting delayed due to covid restrictions.
In March 2021, a rumor surfaced of the couple being broken up, but they denied it. However, in a joint statement, they both confirmed that they did break up in April 2021. They stated that they were better off as friends.

They have been engaged for over two years and have been together for two years before that.
