New York Yankees Face a Flurry of Roster Updates as Multiple Stars Return From Injury

2023 has been an unpredictable year for MLB teams. With injuries impacting many teams, there have been many shocking results. The New York Yankees are one of the teams that have suffered heavily due to injuries. They started off the season on an extremely rough note and at one point were at the bottom of the AL East. But the Bronx Bombers have since made a comeback. Most recently, in a positive update, several Yankees stars returned to the roster.

This sparked a flurry of updates to the team as some players are being sent back to the Minor Leagues. Notably, it is a welcome change as the Yankees get closer to full strength.

New York Yankees see multiple roster updates as Giancarlo Stanton and other stars return

The Yankees have seen multiple injuries over the course of the season. This has left them with limited options and a thin roster at times. But in a recent update, the team will see a flurry of roster changes as star players return from injury. Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, and Tommy Kahnle are returning to the 26-man roster. Furthermore, Oswaldo Cabrera will return to AAA, and will probably be joined by Franchy Cordero and Matt Krook. YES Network’s Jack Curry shared this update via Twitter. 

In a Tweet, Curry said, “As the Yankees add Stanton, Donaldson and Kahnle to their 26-man roster, one of the moves will be optioning Cabrera to AAA. Cordero and Krook also likely to lose roster spots.” This will considerably impact the Yankees as they get closer to full health.
