After keeping its fans on edge for almost the entire duration, World Baseball Classic is about to come to an end. But not before telling everyone that it is the game that brings people together. Last night’s World Baseball Classic semifinal between teams Japan and Mexico was a perfect example. It was an epic back-and-forth battle that came to an end with team Japan remaining undefeated and clinching their way to the finals.

But the iconic moment of the game came after team Japan’s tremendous double walk-off win. A Japanese fan in the bleachers made a heartwarming gesture toward a fan of the opposition team, Mexico went viral within moments of it getting on the internet and easily won hearts.

Both teams, Japan and Mexico, showed tremendous potential to win. But in the end, team Japan took the win. However, that does not mean that team Mexico didn’t play any better. It was not easy to take the win from the Mexican ball players, and they made it as tough as it was possible. 

Then, in the end, when team Japan celebrated on the field of their win, a fan holding a Japanese fan not only bowed but also hugged a fan in team Mexico gear. 

Baseball does not care if there is a barrier of language, culture, or anything else. The thrilling moments on the field and the game’s competitive nature bring people together, and it did in last night’s game.

Even though team Mexico lost, they put up a tough fight, and for that, the Japanese fan thanked him by bowing to him.
