Who doesn’t want a bobblehead? Those tiny things are a perfect decorative item. A cute accessory that makes your room feel even more personal. However, the Los Angeles Dodgers have found a way to make these things even more special. How? By giving it the face of just the biggest baseball player in the world. And the fan reaction shows – their $700 million to Shohei Ohtani is certainly paying off.

As the Dodgers are gearing up for their games against the Cincinnati Reds, there’s another great news for the fans. The Blue Crew’s X account revealed that they’d be having the Shohei Ohtani Bobblehead Night on Thursday, May 16. It’s been a long time coming and now that it’s here, the fans are beyond thrilled about attending the show.

According to their social media post, Ohtani’s bobblehead will be given to the first 40,000 fans who’ve registered and are attending the game. On the other hand, as a surprise gift, the team will be attaching 1,700 of Ohtani’s road grey jersey bobbleheads randomly in those gifts. Imagine being one of those 1,700 fans who got both the home and away Shohei Ohtani bobblehead. Quite a bragging right?

Bobbleheads aren’t anything new in the Dodgers clubhouse. The Men in Blue first started this tradition in 2001 when they gave out three bobbleheads to fans. The players were Tommy Lasorda, Kirk Gibson, and Fernando Valenzuela. Ever since then, bobbleheads have become an integral part of the Dodgers’ lore. As a result, fans have been waiting anxiously for Ohtani’s bobblehead since his signing.

The fans couldn’t contain their excitement after hearing this news. While the internet was filled with comments, many predicted that the Dodger Stadium’s staff would have a huge task on their hands. “Its going to be a bloodbath,” a fan said. Certainly, with the kind of love that Ohtani receives, fans might not be patient enough to wait for their turn.

“Wish I could be there,” a user posted. That’s something that nearly every Dodgers fan is feeling right now. “Better than Angels free stuff,” an Ohtani fan said. The fanbase doesn’t leave any chance to compare the Dodgers with Shotime’s previous home. “Why doesn’t it come with his dog?” a fan wondered. That’s quite a sensible question – after all, who doesn’t love Decoy?

Finally, a fan noted, “These are gonna resell for $100+,” can they? The road gray can certainly fetch a great price due to its rarity. So it’s clear – Shohei Ohtani’s bobblehead night is already a hit. Just how big can the superstar get??
