And when an athlete as rich as him does not have proper clubs in his golf bag, it will be shocking for everyone. That too when he knows about the game.

Earlier in 2020, Alex Rodriguez took part in Tiger Woods’ Celebrity Cup event in Los Angeles. But when A-Rod arrived on the field to play golf, his golf bag had four 4-irons clubs. And every 4-irons were different clubs from different sets. Only two of them were of the same brand. 

But still, the question remained the same. Why would A-Rod carry clubs that looked like were from a golf pawn shop? Not only this, but he had kept his 8-iron club still wrapped in plastic. The former Yankee probably never removed the plastic out of his 8-iron club.

Per usatoday.com, A-Rod carried 16 clubs from different sets, models, and brands. Notably, it was a shocker for everyone, knowing that he was one of the wealthiest athletes in the world.

And after all the buzz created around A-Rod’s golf bag, Joel Beall of Golf Digest finally revealed the reason A-Rod had four 4-irons in his golf bag. Per Joel Beall, those 4-irons were not A-Rod’s real sticks. But an assistant mistakenly shipped a shagbag instead of A-Rod’s bag.

“It’s amazing how much mileage this has received, given they weren’t A-Rod’s real sticks. An assistant mistakenly shipped a shagbag instead of his gamers, hence the bizarre set-up,” Beall tweeted.
