A couple of days ago, MLB great Derek Jeter’s media platform released a video to commemorate the end of Turn 2 Foundation’s Invitational Gala. That video, without audio, showed Derek Jeter playing golf with golf influencer Paige Spiranac and NFL legend Michael Strahan. Although the video was mute, it showed the trio having a good enough time.

Now, the Giants’ star took it upon himself to share the same video with all the words spoken in it. However, while doing so, he accepted getting roasted by Jeter and Spiranac but did not forget to mark Paige’s roasting as “cold-blooded.” Hours after the NFL great shared the video, the pro golfer mockingly apologized for being harsh to the football great.

What did Derek Jeter and Paige Spiranac say to mock Michael Strahan?

The 5x World Champ, while resting his hands on his club, could be seen saying, “I grew up watching Michael Strahan,” and saying to another person in front of him, “Did you grow up watching Michael Strahan?”

As soon as Jeter said these words, Paige said something that the NFL great did not hear and started laughing, saying, “Y’all make me sound so old man.” However, when Strahan eventually got his hand on the video of that moment, he finally heard what the golf beauty said. Needless to say, it must have hurt him a bit after hearing, “I wasn’t even born.”

Hence, while posting the video on his Twitter handle, the former athlete wrote, “Got roasted for my age???? At least it was for a good cause, @JeterTurn2. No I didn’t hear you, @PaigeSpiranac but that was COLD BLOODED!! @derekjeter.” As soon as the pro golfer, Paige Spiranac, saw the video, she quickly came and innocently apologized, saying, “You then proceeded to birdie the next 3 in a row so lesson learned lol.” 

Without even hearing what Paige said about him, the NFL great had taught her how to not mess with someone, by showing iconic skills at the game which Spiranac is one of the greats.

How are fans reacting to the pro-golfer’s alleged apology?

A couple of fans are requesting the pro golfer to not mock the NFL great like this. However, there are also the fans who are not stunned to learn that the former Giants’ star hit three birdies in a row. For those unversed, birdies is a term used in golf, which means when a golfer hits the hole in less than the required shots.
