Fitness plays a big part in every physical sport. Whether it’s baseball, soccer, or basketball, it is the core of a successful career. And when any athlete has to play day in and day out, staying fit becomes crucial but challenging. Especially with MLB, which continuously runs for months with a brief break. The increasing list of injuries, cramps, and fatigue can be seen as effects of it. And players have to find their way of staying. The Yankees Captain Aaron Judge has found a way of staying fit.

Though injuries are inevitable in physical sports with better fitness, recovery becomes easy. Aaron Judge’s recovery from the ligament tear injury in the minimal period is a perfect example. It all happened due to his better fitness, which helped him sustain the pain and come back to the field. But what is the reason behind it? Well, years back, he answered this question regarding the primary contributor to his daily fitness routine.

Three years back, the Yankees captain joined other MLB stars to discuss baseball in one of the episodes of MLB Roundtable. And during that conversation, Judge revealed some insights about his fitness.

While answering the question about technology and fitness, Judge described his way of working out. He said, “I got a little, I got a little yoga app I kind of mess around with just to try to you know, stay loose man. Like you said, what am I? 10’11”, gotta stay limber man out there. So yoga is a big part of me.”

Well, Judge’s answer made sense. Barring this season, where he got a major injury by accident and not in a normal, he has been really fit. This is also a big reason behind his rise in the last few years. It includes him scoring 62 Home Runs last season. And it is one reason behind his miraculous recovery to support the Yankees as they fight for the playoffs.
