Derek Jeter’s latest event for his nonprofit, the Turn 2 Foundation, was a big hit. Jeter is as known for his works of charity as for his twenty-season baseball career. Only a year after his debut in Major League Baseball, the Hall of Famer established the organization to help kids turn to healthy lifestyles. Inspired by his father, who used to work as a substance abuse counselor, Jeter started the foundation that has now raised more than $34 million in charity.

One event that the former shortstop holds annually is the Derek Jeter Celebrity Invitational golf game. This year saw many A-listers, from professional athletes to actors, grace the event. One of them even thanked the former baseballer for having him there.

Busta Rhymes expresses gratitude to Derek Jeter for his invitation

Jeter recently became a new father to his fourth child, Kaius Green Jeter. But even that didn’t stop him from honoring his commitment, which was to attend the invitational. Among the many famous figures attending was Busta Rhymes. The ‘Drummer Boy’ rapper gave a performance at the gala event at Baha Mar, much to the enjoyment of everyone present. And the musician clearly had as much fun as the audience, if his recent Instagram post is anything to go by.

“BAHAMAS was Niceness!! Our brother @derekjeter put on another Extravaganza at his Annual Gala and it was Beyond an honor and a pleasure that he invited us to be apart of the Magic!! Lots of love was in the building tonight from a lot my peers to a lot of my Heros!!” read his caption.
