New York Yankees are enjoying a wonderful run in Major League Baseball this season. Given their historical dominance in MLB, almost every player considers themselves lucky if they get a chance to play for the Pinstripes. However, that is not the case for the former Yankee, Clint Frazier.

Currently, a Chicago Cubs player, Clint Frazier, took a dig at his former clubhouse. Frazier was more than ready to play against the New York Yankees in the ongoing series. However, within 24 hours of him talking ill about the Yankees, the Cubs have designated him for assignment.

Notably, this demotion by the Cubs will hit hard on Clint Frazier as he wanted to play against his former team in the Yankee stadium.

Clint Frazier does not miss playing for the New York Yankees

Debuted for the New York Yankees, Clint Frazier has spent five years in the Yankees clubhouse between the 2017 and 2021 seasons. During those five years, Frazier failed to leave his mark on the Yankees. Considering his poor run, the Yankees released him after the 2021 season.

Later, during the 2022 free agency, the Cubs signed him for a reported $1.5 million with $1 million in add-ons.

Just a couple of days ago, the Cubs outfielder criticized the environment within the Yankees clubhouse. Frazier said he likes more in the Cubs clubhouse compared to the Yankees.

“You had to be a cookie-cutter version to be on that (Yankees) team,” Frazier said. “If not, then you were like a really bad distraction, it seemed like. So I don’t miss being told how I had to look for the last five years.”

“I like it here. Certainly don’t miss some of the things over there. And I’m really enjoying the way that this clubhouse has maneuvered.”
