As a baseball superstar, Derek Jeter and his several relationships were always covered by the media. And thanks to his immense popularity, he would always find himself in the headlines. But Jeter was generally private about his relationships and did what he could to keep them as private as possible. This extends to his relationship with his wife, Hannah, when the two were dating.

Both and Davis kept quiet about the relationship and refused to answer any questions about the same during the first couple of years of dating. They started dating in the offseason before the 2013 MLB season. And Davis once credited this, among other things, for the success of her relationship with Derek Jeter.

Hannah Davis admitted not knowing who Derek Jeter was helped her:

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model once said that meeting Jeter during the offseason was a good thing. That way she had the chance to get to know Derek Jeter, the person and not the baseball star. In a piece that she wrote for the Players’ Tribune, Hannah Davis said “Derek and I met during the off-season, and I think that was a lucky break. It let us spend some time together away from New York. I didn’t have any preconceptions about who he was, and I didn’t need much more to go on than this: I had met the nicest guy, and I wanted to get to know him on my own terms. Not Google’s.”

During this time, Jeter and Davis didn’t go out a lot to avoid the press. They wanted to spend time together and get to know each other. Jeter’s previous relationships had all been subject to intense media coverage and so it made sense that they wanted to stay out of the limelight.

The couple was very private about their relationship while they were dating. And so not much is known about their dating years apart from the fact that they were together.

But the two stayed together, got engaged in 2015, and were married a year later in July 2016. Jeter and his wife Hannah are now happily married and have three daughters together.

Jeter has become more open since retiring

The Yankees legend has become more open about his private life since retiring. The former Yankees’ shortstop is now on social media, and occasionally posts about his family and kids.
