One thing that never changed in the relationship between Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez is that A-Rod continues to stay in awe of her. The MLB legend has never criticized any of the women he’s ever dated, and this goes on for everyone. Recently, A-Rod also congratulated his ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez on getting married to actor Ben Affleck. 

Lopez and Rodriguez first met during a baseball match in 2005. At the time, both of them were married to different people. But they reunited after 12 years, became friends, and started dating pretty soon after. 

In the four years they were together, they were supportive of each other’s careers. Alex has always called her a hard worker. A perfect example of this was his interview after Lopez’s Super Bowl performance in 2020.

What did Alex Rodriguez say about his ex-fiancée?

A year before the relationship fell apart, Jennifer got the chance to perform at the halftime show of Super Bowl 2020. She got the company of the one and only Shakira, and another special guest also joined the two on stage. That special guest was none other than Jennifer’s daughter, Emme. Rodriguez was in awe of his fiancée before the big show.

“She is really the hardest working human being I’ve ever met and she does everything with so much passion and love,” Rodriguez said in an interview with E! News. 

He further added, “I still feel sometimes that she’s still back in the Bronx, that’s how much passion and love she has for everything she does.”

Even if they’re not together now, they have always remained on good terms. As they parted ways in April 2021, they cited that it was best that they stay friends.
