Spring brings with it the dawn of new beginnings. Pitch fever is sky-high as the 2023 baseball season is now officially underway. Baseball fans are eagerly waiting to see the rookie sensations and veteran icons that will step onto the field, all the while dreaming of hoisting the championship trophy alongside their teams. Opening Day brought with it some dazzling moments, as Shohei Ohtani once again made his presence felt on the mound with 10 strikeouts and Aaron Judge was at it again with his soaring home runs.

But it wasn’t just the players who had the spotlight on this particular day. One baseball fan, or say, a Dodgers fan sporting a Mookie Betts jersey and a heart full of love and adrenaline, dashed onto the outfield grass and dropped down to one knee, and popped the question to his girlfriend in the stands. The crowd gasped at the scene they were beholding, but the moment was short-lived as Los Angeles Dodgers’ security came crashing in and tackled the romantic.

Now the real question on everyone’s mind is, did the bold fans’ proposal end with a yes or a no?

Fans are taking the humor route with the situation

In a moment that is sure to be remembered by everyone present in the stands that day, a brave man named Juarez risked it all for a romantic proposal to his girlfriend Ramona Saavedra during the Los Angeles Dodgers vs Arizona Diamondbacks’ opening game.

He had jumped off the side and ran straight into the ballpark for what he thought was the most romantic proposal of all. Although he was not able to complete it due to the swift intervention of Dodgers’ security.

However, Ramona has made it known that she has accepted his proposal and was beaming alongside her fiance in the photograph she shared. And now fans are expressing their concerns over Juarez’s neck after his daring stunt.

While others couldn’t help but joke about the lifelong stadium ban that the baseball fan would likely face. However, thankfully the ‘in sickness and in health’ vow doesn’t say anywhere that Ramona couldn’t indulge in her love for baseball without her fiance.

While people are taking a humorous route with the situation, the couple sure looks happy in the end. Even if the baseball fan had to get tackled in order to finally get that yes.

In the end, the real stars of the game were Los Angeles Dodgers!

While Juarez’s proposal certainly added some extra excitement to the game, the real star of the show was the Los Angeles Dodgers themselves. With an 8-2 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the team got off to a strong start to the season.

Catcher Will Smith proved to be a cornerstone player in the game, racking up four RBIs. But it wasn’t just veteran athletes who shined. Rookie fielder James Outman also made stunning plays, going 2-3 from the plate, scoring three runs, and hitting a two-run home run.
