Two-time World Champion and three-time All-Star, Ozzie Guillen, has never been a fan of Oscar-winning actor, Sean Penn. Markedly, back in 2011, Sean Penn visited Venezuela with former Venezuelan president, Hugo Chavez. After his visit, Penn openly spoke about politics in Venezuela and how he believed that it was a beautiful country.
These comments were not well-received by the public and media. Amongst them was the Venezuelan shortstop, Ozzie Guillen, who claimed that these comments were not all-encompassing, incomplete, and misinformed.

Why was Ozzie Guillen mad at actor Sean Penn?
In an interview with journalist Graham Bensinger, Ozzie Guillen went all-out while criticizing Sean Penn. Graham introduces the interview by asking Ozzie his honest opinion on Sean Penn. He should stay in Venezuela for two years and live what I grow up.”
Moving on, Ozzie talked about why he moved to the USA. He stated, “I like the United States, I stay here. Why? Because it’s better living. But don’t come out there for one week or two days and say, ‘WOW Venezuelan Chaves is the greatest.'”
Ultimately, he concluded by saying, “I invite him to go to Venezuela with me. As this is Venezuela bro. Not another one they show you. That’s all. I don’t think you guys have any right to talk about our country with no reason.”
