After losing two consecutive series against the New York Mets and Arizona Diamondbacks, the Cardinals win the three-game series against the Kansas City Royals. Thanks to players like Nolan Arenado, Albert Pujols, and Adam Wainwright, the Cardinals are still alive in the league.

The Cardinals started their 2022 campaign on a high note. But during the last week of April, they suffered some heavy losses against the Mets and a mid-table team, Arizona Diamondbacks. Their recent series against the Royals was also a thriller. 

After winning the first game, the Cardinals suffered a colossal defeat at the Kauffman Stadium. However, with the help of Adam Wainwright and Nolan Arenado, the Cardinals made a sensational comeback and clinched the series. The Cardinals star Nolan Arenado has been a great addition since the last season.

After losing the second game, the Cardinals retaliated against the Royals in a style. Not only did they hold the Royals to score any runs, but they ran a rampage with their offense. The game ended 10-0 in favor of the Cardinals. And once again, Arenado, with his seventh home run of the season, was the hero for the Cardinals.

With his consistent performance in April, Arenado won the National League (NL) Player of the Month Award. Talking about his game, the Cardinals star credited Albert Pujols for his brilliant outing in the ballparks. Arenado said that just by watching him play and practice, he has improved his gameplay.
