With each day passing day, the New York Yankees are becoming more dangerous in Major League Baseball. In a recent game against the Detroit Tigers, the Yankees ace, Gerrit Cole, had a phenomenal outing from the mound. He helped the Yankees dominate the Tigers in the first game of the series.

Notably, Cole dominating a game will be a good sign for the Aaron Boone-led team. Because the Yankees ace did not have a great start to the season. Even during the spring training games, Gerrit Cole was not up to his best.

Talking about his game, Aaron Boone said he always believed that Cole had some good stuff. The Yankees’ skipper also opened up about the friendly environment inside the roster.

“I think anytime you are in a close-knit group like those guys are, and you are challenging each other and learning from one another, I think that environment is one where you have a better chance to thrive in. So I think that’s happening. But he is Gerrit Cole. He is always going to have those expectations and whatnot…,” Boone said.

“But I’ve felt like really since spring training and again even early in the season when he did not get results in those first couples, I felt like his stuff was in a really good place. And we are seeing that on a really consistent basis right now.”

In his recent game against the Tigers, Cole pitched through seven innings and had nine strikeouts in the game. Apart from two hits, he did not concede any run against the Tigers.
