Derek Jeter was not an ordinary player for the New York Yankees. After his big league debut in the 1995 season, Jeter brought revolutionary changes to the Yankees team. What is more remarkable about his 20-year-long MLB career is that he barely suffered any major injuries. And because of that, he played maximum games for the Pinstripes.

If not for the 2013 season (a year before his retirement) and his debut season (1995), Jeter played 130-plus games in the rest of his MLB season. Such was the dedication he had for the Yankees. And that is the major reason he became one of the most successful stars in baseball.

It is no secret that during the last years of his MLB career, Jeter was dating Swimsuit supermodel Hannah Davis (now Jeter). When Jeter retired from baseball in 2014, he started spending the most time with his then-girlfriend and now wife, Hannah Jeter. And during their trip to Japan in 2015, the two had a memorable time in the Asian country.

Japan and South Korea are probably the only two Asian countries where baseball is a popular game, especially in Japan. Although baseball is an American sport, the Japanese play this game with absolute passion. And despite baseball being a mainstream game in Japan, a famous Japanese wrestler had difficulty recognizing Derek Jeter.

The report also suggests that the Japanese wrestler Tochiozan Yuichiro was not fully aware of Derek Jeter. His words about Jeter were, “He was a catcher or something like that, wasn’t he?”

Notably, it was a bit shocking for MLB fans. Because it was a bit awkward when the Japanese wrestler was not fully aware of a baseball legend.
