The 13th edition of the Yankees’ Hope Week initiative has made its mark. Each year, the event runs for five days. The purpose is to shine a spotlight on a unique individual, family, or organization worthy of public recognition and support. Speaking at the event was the New York Yankees icon, Aaron Judge, who made special mention of his beloved father. 

Aaron Judge is a champion slugger and right fielder for the Yankees. His name needs no introduction to the baseball community. His popularity level extends far beyond the Yankees’ fan base. A consistent high-class performer and prolific match winner, he has been setting home run records this season as well.

Aaron Judge is the adopted son of Wayne and Patty Judge. Though not a biological son, Aaron shares a deep & strong emotional bonding with his parents. Aaron has earlier credited his mother as the prime reason for his successful baseball career. This week, he spoke about the immense respect he always had for his beloved father. 

Aaron Judge praises his heroic father 

The fact of being an adopted son did not bother Aaron Judge. Instead, he cherished the company of his gifted parents. Judge never got to learn about his biological parents, but that doesn’t matter to him. He believes that he grew up under the care and guidance of a perfect set of parents.

Wayne and Patty Judge are a retired pair of teachers from California, who instilled proper humanitarian values in Aaron. 

Speaking to reporters amidst the Yankees Hope Week, Aaron Judge praised his father, saying, “Yeah, that’s where it all starts. Makes me think about the times I’ve played some catch with my dad. Out in the front yard, out in the baseball field. And like you said, my dad gets done working. He’s tired, he just wants to hang up and rest up. But he’s always took the time to spend five minutes, ten minutes with my side. Those are things, those are memories I hold on to until this day.” 

Aaron further praised his role model father, adding, “It’s tough to say, you know my dad still stays at the top of that list. He’s always been my hero. I’m always a guy who looked up to (him).” 

The perfect upbringing of Judge 

In an interview, Aaron Judge once talked about how amazing his parents are and why he feels blessed to have such parents. It’s the result of such upbringing that the Yankees and the sport of baseball now have a gifted, iconic figure like Aaron. His athletic physique gained attention from football authorities at Stanford and Notre Dame. But he rightfully chose baseball and now already has smashed 30+ home runs this season.
