Speaking on the podcast, ‘A-Rod’ said, “The truth is, the Yankees are the most successful franchise in baseball and possibly in sports. No franchise can afford a player more than the New York Yankees can afford Aaron Judge. Now, you mentioned a few other examples. Freddie Freeman, even Carlos Correa, leaving Houston. Right? The truth is, none of them are apples to apples. None of those players can compare to Aaron Judge.”
To further glorify the charismatic Judge, ‘A-Rod’ added, “His size, his looks, his Mass Avenue appeal, New York proven. So, I do believe that the biggest array for the Yankees, is keeping Aaron Judge vs any other player.”
‘A-Rod’ also thinks that Judge is the only player next to Derek Jeter to have such a massive outreach and crowd connection, extending beyond just the Yankees fan base. Almost as if Judge is built to stand atop all the rest. As in, Judge isn’t merely a match-winner but a perfect ambassador of the sport.
