The Bronx Bombers have been going through a bad season with multiple players performing below the mark, including Stanton. He even started receiving ‘Boos’ in the stadium during games. However, just weeks before the end of the season, the designated Yankees hitter turned it all around. Against Detroit Tigers on Wednesday, he hit his 400th Home Run to become the 58th player with 400 Home Runs under his belt.

This 400th Home Run was a game-changing moment for The Yankees that led the team to a 5-1 victory against the Tigers. Giancarlo was getting a lot of negative press before the game but after his memorable performance, things have changed for him. Though some still consider it as a too-late comeback.

With his 400th Home Run, the Yankee slugger not only became one of the 4th fastest people to do it, but he also became the 10th Yankee player to have 400 Home Runs. He was placed among baseball legends like Babe Ruth, Mark Teixeira, and Alex Rodriguez in the 400 Home Run history of the New York Yankees.

Most of his Home Runs were scored before he joined the Yankees though. He had 267 Home Runs at the time he signed with The Bronx Bombers. He has scored the remaining 133 in the last six seasons. Stanton’s feat has made the captain of the team praise him openly on social media.
