Houston Astros Star’s 2019 Lucky Charm Proves Effective 4 Years Later as He Shines in Game 5 ALCS Win

Houston Astros have lit the ALCS on fire. Going 2 games down at the very beginning, the Astros could have been written off. But they ended up showing their grit and are now leading the series at 3-2. The fans are serenading the team with praises. Some are wondering whether it’s all hard work or if there was some luck involved as well.

So it was a picture of Alex Bregman that raised the eyebrows of the fans. He was wearing a peculiar shirt and the fans wondered where had they seen it before.

Houston Astros started the ALCS losing the first two games to Rangers. The fans wondered whether they could come back or not. Then, in the following three games, the Astros completely turned the tide. Not only did the Astros win the next 2 games, but they absolutely dominated them.

Then came game 5, in which Alex Bregman started the first inning with a home run. The fans were quick to point out a picture from earlier in the day of him wearing his “lucky shirt”.

The fans pointed out that the last time he wore that shirt, he hit two home runs just like the one he hit in game 5. Luck or not, the shirt seems to have worked for Alex Bregman.

Game 5, however, was not yet over. The game went back and forth till the very end, with the Rangers leading 4-2 in the 9th inning when Jose Altuve’s 3-run Home Run sealed the victory for the Houston Astros.

Houston Astros have seen standout performances in the ALCS till now. Jose Altuve’s heroism in Game 5 is matched by Alex Bregman’s contribution throughout the postseason and especially now.

Although his Postseason average is just .206, in the ALCS he has increasingly shown character when the team needed him the most. Besides scoring 4 runs in the ALCS till now, he has scored two home runs. Whether the shirt is lucky for him or not, Alex surely seems lucky for the Astros.

Now that the ALCS is in its final gear. The teams are lining up for a chance to play the World Series. Houston Astros have the advantage, but the Rangers can still find a way back.
