“I Don’t Want to Be Complacent” – Yankees Star Slugger Aaron Judge’s Vows to ‘Keep the Blinders On’ for World Series, Despite Astounding Personal Success

New York Yankees’ star Aaron Judge doesn’t believe in resting. At least not until the job is done. In baseball terms, the prime job is to win the World Series trophy. It is exactly what Aaron Judge meant while recently speaking before the All-Star Game.

Speaking  before the MLB All-Stars Game in Los Angeles, Aaron Judge said “The minute I’m satisfied is the minute I kind of sit back and take a break and look up, then you’ll get complacent and I don’t want to be complacent.”

“There’s still a long way to go, you know, this team and myself, we have set ourselves up for a good decision,” Judge said. “But there’s still a lot of baseball to play. Still, a lot of games to play. So the minute I sit back here in the comfy chair and say, ‘wow, I’ve got 30 homers or you got this or that,’ then someone’s gonna pass you or the next team is going to creep up to you in the standings. So just got to keep the blinders on. You’ve got to stay focused and keep going forward,” added Aaron Judge, giving a glimpse is what his fans can further expect from him and what is yet to come. 

Aaron Judge: A devoted man focused on his contributions 

Remarkably, Aaron Judge turned down the Yankees’ seven-year extension offer worth $213.5 Million. Nonetheless, Judge is still determined to win this edition of the World Series with the Yankees. “When a guy like that puts his mind on something and he knows what he wants to achieve and what’s at stake, he’s gonna step up and do it,” said Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton about Judge. Therefore, Aaron Judge only cares about the standing ovation to follow after he lifts the World Series trophy.
