As of now, 2023 has been a rollercoaster of a season for almost all MLB teams. Many players and teams have played underwhelming baseball and defied expectations. Philadelphia Phillies star Trea Turner is one of the players who is yet to display his best version in the ballparks this season. But in their most recent game, the Phillies shortstop played an important role and helped the Phillies pick up a crucial win.

Turner has struggled with the bat this season, after an All-Star season in 2022. He signed a $300 million deal with the Phillies and has looked out of form thus far. But in the team’s most recent game, he played an important role and was involved in a hilarious incident afterward.

The Phillies managed to squeeze a close 2-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves in their most recent game. It was a massive win over their division rivals. Following the game, Phillies star Trea Turner was in the midst of an interview before his teammates interrupted it. Bryson Scott and Brandon Marsh interrupted the post-game interview to put water on Turner. The Phillies’ star $300 million shortstop had a smile on his face while reacting hilariously to their prank. NBC Sports Philadelphia shared a video of the incident on Twitter.

In the video, Turner said, “God, I hate these kids! I hate you guys so much.” He then said, “Get it over with” as the two poured water on him. But throughout the interaction, he had an expression of mock anger on his face. It was truly a nice moment after a hard-fought win.
