The New York Yankees have a newfound presence on Twitter. With several Bronx Bombers already holding accounts with a high following, the Yankees’ presence on the social media platform is significant. And with the addition of Derek Jeter to the mix, the micro-blogging site will see an inflow of pinstriped fans. Reacting to his addition to the mix on Twitter, Derek Jeter took on fan reactions on the website to break the ice. And he sure had some secrets to reveal.

In a video doing its rounds online, the internet saw Jeter react to his first account on Twitter and saw him getting some solid traction on the platform. He included several instances of the top fan reactions. And while some reacted to moments he had created on the diamond others went an alternate route. Derek Jeter has also been a part of the cultural zeitgeist as well. His most memorable screen performance was the Mark Wahlberg comedy, ‘The Other Guys’. Jeter, however, had some secrets to reveal.

Derek Jeter reacts to tweets about him

Reading out a tweet after his entry onto the site, Jeter read out how a user’s girlfriend only knew the baseball star from a scene in a Hollywood comedy. To his credit, though, Jeter took the tweet well into his stride as he reacted to it.

Said Jeter, “That’s really not the first time I’ve heard that.”

Remembering incidents from around when he shot the movie, Jeter recalled how his part in the film was different from when they shot it. “I had a whole bunch of lines that were in there and they cut and just put it into like, straight to DVD,” he said with a grin on his face.

With a grin on his face, Jeter sounded miffed at the lost opportunity. He clearly had put in all that he could to make sure he excelled. Said Jeter, “I memorized my lines too, I was good. I was prepared.”
